The project “SouthMed WiA – Towards Greater Gender Equality: Promoting the Role and Image of Women in the Southern Mediterranean Audiovisual Sector” is organizing two meetings to advocate for more gender equality in the audio-visual sector in the targeted region. The first meeting will be held on 25 February 2019 in Tunis and will be hosted by the Higher School of Audiovisual and Cinema (ESAC). The second one, in March 2019 in Amman, will be organised by the Screen Institute Beirut (SIB).
During the events, the local partners ESAC from Tunisia and SIB from Lebanon will present the activities, events and publications of SouthMed WiA, creating a platform for exchange among different film industry players. The beneficiaries of the sub-granted projects will give an overview on their actions and will share their experiences, achievements and challenges encountered during their projects implementation, with the objective to raise stakeholders’ awareness on gender equality in the audiovisual sector.
